Dana Collins

Dana L. Collins Ph.D (she/her/hers) is a Black, cis woman based in Brooklyn, originally from Oakland. She’s a licensed psychologist and mindfulness practitioner and teacher deeply rooted in social justice values. She is committed to the empowerment of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) communities. Dana has been practicing mindfulness-based meditation for a little over 10 years, and is especially interested in exploring mindfulness as a tool for liberation. She is currently involved in a number of grant-funded community-based initiatives, including one which uses mindfulness to address Black youths’ racial trauma.

Her practice has made such a difference in helping her to cultivate awareness, compassion and acceptance that she’s begun sharing it with others, and is excited to serve as a meditation and mindfulness facilitator and consultant with The Namaste Project.
